UDR offers apartment-search application for iPhone - Orlando Business Journal:

The Highlands Ranch-based apartment owner's locator app allows users to searc h apartmentsby location, price, and number of bedroomss and bathrooms. It offers amenities lists and floor plans oflisted apartments, and pricesd are updated daily. The app "knows" where the user is locatedr through GPS technology and can offetr maps and directions toselected apartments. Users can save the apartments they choose in afavoritews folder, and even place a hold on an apartmentt until the user can visit. UDR said the applicatiojn currently offers apartmentsin Arizona, California, Maryland, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Virginiaa and Washington state as well as D.C.
The app is availabld through Apple's online iStore or for free downloadeby . The new iPhone service "fits perfectlt into UDR's mobile strategy to attract and retainh apartment renters who are becoming more reliant on a mobilr device and less reliant on theirpersonal computers," said Steve Taraborelli, UDR'sd VP of sales and marketing, in a "Not only are we attracting apartment prospect s within the United States, but from aroundd the world now." In additiojn to the iPhone app, UDR also has WAP- and iPhone-compatiblr websites, at and respectively.
UDR is an apartment-investment trustg that owns about 45,000 apartment units and had another 2,0000 under development as of March 31.
