Stanford, Canary Foundation plan $20M cancer center - Pacific Business News (Honolulu):

Canary Foundation is pledgingy $15 million toward the doubling its earlier commitment to support earlt detection research at the Themedical school, together with the school's Department of Radiology, is committing $5 million throughg faculty recruitments, research facilities, and othef infrastructure. The center will be led by Dr. Sanjiv Sam Gambhir and will include new faculty hiree in both ex vivo and invivo diagnostics.
The centeer is located in a newlyy renovated School of Medicine building on California Avenue in Palo Alto and it will have strong ties to the NationaoCancer Institute-designated Stanford Cancer Center with a view toward translating the early detection research into clinical Canary Foundation is a non-profif dedicated to the goal of identifying cancer early througuh a simple blood test and then isolatinbg it with imaging. Sincr 2004, Canary has raised over $30 million to supporr early detection research.
